The Congress will take place at the Universidad del Salvador headquarters. A University that opens its home space to welcome all Guidance Professionals around the world, specially those who are interested in interchanging their own experiences in pursuit of achieving a higher comprehension of the relationships between Guidance and Social Ecology.

Although its was always mostly based on Scholar and Professional Guidance, the thematic agenda will touch this time crucial and essential aspects concerning the complex human and social interaction concerning its main basic problems of environmental action and adaptation. In this sense, Social Ecology constitutes a relatively new variant approach opening alternative new ways of study, analysis, reflection, comprehension and knowledge enrichment to the Guidance Professional and the Social Educator.

We convoke all you to send your own papers (electronic copies) which will be read and recorded under a formal registration providing for its later publication.

International President:
Dr. Bryan Hiebert

I am very pleased to welcome you to this international congress.
This meeting in Buenos Aires offers a rare opportunity for participants to venture beyond the traditional roles of guidance that have focused on career development and life planning and address issues related to advocacy and social justice.
Guidance has a large and important role to play in enhancing social ecology and thereby creating the conditions that make it easier for people to become active contributors to society while at the same time increasing their own sense of self-fulfilment and personal satisfaction.
People exist in contexts and some contexts are more supportive than others.
Often as guidance professionals, we can maximize the potential for individual growth by working at a systemic level to create the conditions that remove barriers to change and foster the creation of a context that encourages people to strive to maximize their potential.
The focus of this meeting in Buenos Aires will help practitioners, researchers, policy makers, and educators to understand more fully the factors that contribute to a wholistic and sustainable environment that fosters both personal and societal growth.
I look forward to seeing you at the congress and discussing with you how we can address more completely the role that guidance can play in promoting social ecology.

Sincerely,
